Request a free 30-day trial
To request a free 30-day online trial for one of our journals, use our contact web form, select “Library - Online Trial Request,” and be sure to include any related details that will help us set up your online access (the name of the journal you would like to trial, your name, institution, customer number (if known), IP range, etc.).
Place an order:
You may place an order for UC Press journals through your agent, or directly through UC Press. For direct orders, go to journals.ucpress.edu, click on the journal you would like to order, then click on “subscribe” to utilize our journals shopping cart.

Accessing journals online:
You may access journal content online at each of our journal sites. You can administer your institution's access account via the following links:
- Admin Center Login
- View/Change Admin User Info
- View Subscriptions
- View Usage Reports
- View/Change IP addresses
- View/Change Shibboleth Profiles
If you are having trouble accessing UC Press journals content to which you have subscribed, please use the contact web form, select “Access and login problems,” and be sure to include any related details that will help us resolve your access (customer number, journal you are attempting to access, etc.)
Print issue claims
To claim a missing print issue, first consult our schedule of releases to confirm you are within the claim window: Claims cannot be made within 30 days of the issue mail date; Customers in the US or Canada should make their claim for any missing issue(s) within 90 days of the mail date; and customers outside of the US or Canada should make their claim for any missing issue(s) within 180 days of the mail date.
If the missing issue is within the claim window, use our contact web form, select “Change of Address, Orders, Claims,” and be sure to include any related details that will help us resolve your claim (customer number, mailing address, and the title, volume, and number of the issue you are claiming, etc.).
